NuLOOQ navigator
It´s not a mouse, but it could be your mouse´s best friend!
Put your other hand to good use; NuLOOQ navigator gives you a powerful new way to interact with your applications.

THE RULES:

1. Contest will run from 1 January to 24 January 2007. Deadline for entries is 6pm EST 24 January 2007.

2. I will not answer questions concerning the rules. Interpretation of the rules is as important as execution.

3. Tasks:

* Realistic (non-stylized) colorization only, nothing else (aside from resampling down to 800px wide when finish). This is not a Photo Art challenge.
* Eye color: hazel
* Hair color: dark brown
* Final image must be exactly 800 px wide and 600 px high.

4. When you submit your entry put your username in the filename (ie: tpaul.jpg). This is so users can save the images to a local directory and remember who did what--important when it comes time to vote.

5. Post your entries to this thread. Links will not be accepted. Please restrict your comments, questions or discussion to the January 07 Contest Discussion thread. Inappropriately placed posts will be deleted.

6. Only one entry per person. You can change your entry up to the deadline.

7. Voting will run from 25 January to 31 January 2007. Only those with entries may vote.

8. Voting:
* Submit the 5 best entries (by artist name) in order, starting with your favorite.
* You cannot vote for your own image.
* Once you have voted, you cannot change your votes.

Finally, please remember that this is a friendly contest and suppose to be a learning experience. Tips and suggestions to help others are highly encouraged. Also please don’t limit your comments to just the top 5 when you vote. Most members are eager for feedback about their images, so remember to help each other out.

As luck would have it my wife is an eye colour scientist, and she certifies this eye as hazel.

My son has hazel eyes, so I used his eyes as my color model:

I really tried to go with my interpretation of 'hazel eyes' (even though I know thats technnically not correct) but the brown/green just didnt take with the luminosity of the eye. I just couldnt console my idea of hazel eyes with the brightness of the iris, so I went for a different interpretation.

Been a long time, the entries are all great, didn't look them in detail so as not to get influenced :P, hope I get some feedback and if (I should say when really) I didn't make it to the first 5 please someone say why :D thank you.
Well enjoy it.
