Heres Mine, a little too soft. comments:
COLOR everywhere, it's a mess
EYELASHES - too long, not real looking
HAIR - huge mess, including eyebrows.
LIPS - cmon now..
Neck lines - simplify
SKIN - blur fest
EARPIERCING - always remove hole if no earrings on
Overall - attention to details. Don't remove information - good. Add information that isn't in the original. ruud92 01-04-2007, 03:54 AM comments:

Okey thanks for the information. I will do something with it, but it is Glamour so what you say about 'EYELASHES - too long, not real looking' its glamour you know and thats just normal then so long eyelashes, and the color is did nothing with it, 'HAIR - huge mess, including eyebrows.' i dont do anything with it as only I burn the eyebrows a little bit. but thanks for the res of the information
Ruud well then in your definition 'glamour' isn't even retouching - just illustration.
edit: in your opinion, is an ad for Maybelline 'glamour' retouched or is glamour only reserved for the Sears portraits? Because I'm busy on an ad and don't wish to waste my time.. Wow, ant, it must be great being you..keep up the good work.

Oh okey;)
R. ruud92 don't worry about Ant..he's very high-ended.
Lasa A cup of tea can work wounder :)
Here is a rough idea of some of the stuff i think "Ant" was talking about, thoue the hair is still a mess (the org pic is kinda that way so hard to do solve it) and i over did the blur on skin... and the eyes and mouth are a bit to shiny.. and so on and so on hehe ;)
Well... the whole source image is a bit off for "glamour" imo... and way to low quality with all that jpeg distortion. U need pors to do a proper "blure"... so when u got a pic like this, a blur fest is kinda unavoidable. But hey... im no pro so.. :)
And yeah... the skin still got some nasty body hair left *yikes* (and spots)... i can go on for ever :S But as i said.. its a rough idea of what I think "Ant" meant... some of the point at least :/ (right ant? or am i out on deep water?)
And hey, take it easy on him :) i really dident find anything offensive, just wise and helpfull advises. Dont take things to serious.... i just think the communication was a bit off, read it twise instead with a smile in mind.
Well.. i need to "glida till tuben" as we say sweden (stockholm)... going to the subway it is :) U guys have a good day/night (night it is here / where ever u r on this big/small globe.
Cheers! KR1156 01-04-2007, 02:29 PM Here's my version guys.....i tried to even skintone as best as possible, noticed not too many ppl payed so much attention to that.

I think thats great info, Ant.
I didnt catch your post before I did my retouch.. I wish I had. I would've fixed the ear, eyebrows and neck.
All feedback shouldnt be "OMG GREAT JOB". Its only through real critique that any of us will get any better. prizo 01-04-2007, 10:21 PM Begin with "cmon now" for the lips. What guidance do you get from that? How about color "everywhere it's a mess"? Tell us how do you will use that comment to adjust color in this image
So you can't decipher 2 out of 7 points he made?
Than means he made 5 you can figure out... not a bad ratio. Those 5 had value, too.
Not everything has to be a warm-hearted fluffy hugfest.
My critique of yours is that it looks like the face is a painting thats been pasted onto a photo. The hair and body look real, but the face doesn't. The eyes are over-done and look toy-like. The facial skin is over-smoothed. Ziaphra 01-05-2007, 03:58 AM I'm not sure which one I prefer... ehm i dont know what you mean about the eyes because i only did the eyelashes and my sister has longer than that so.. and the skin if you can see is there skins texture, and yes the jaw is to much.. ;) but i did the body the same way.. and okey youre right about that not all things have to 'warm-hearted fluffy hugfest' be but, it wassnt usefull what she sayd only on a other way if she had more information set on it you know...

this one is the best so far I'd say! takes out the blemishes but leaves enough detail. still way too much "peach fuzz" on her nose, cheek, arms etc. also I'd remove some flyaways, and the teeth look soft or weird...i'd sharpen that and clean up the corners of her mouth, even up the shape of her lips, without losing detail. and then I'd fix the color of the hair so it wasn't so reddish golden, and maybe put a tad more detail back under the eyes. and smooth the forehead a tad. ha, sorry I guess I like to go on forever with these things. while I'm at it the bottom right of the lip has some weird lookin highlights. overall headed in the right direction.
good luck!! newclear 01-06-2007, 08:19 PM I'm not sure which one I prefer...
this looks great, i'd def go for the first one...the second one is way too dirty yellow in the skin. the first could use a *tad* bit more color in the skin. she's slightly drained lookin. but nice overall! aspengrovebouti 01-07-2007, 06:38 PM What I Did...

Thats great you should put that on you ebay page Teepot9 01-13-2007, 09:53 PM HI this is my go at it, let me know what changes need to be made. thanks :cat: Kr4nkEd 01-15-2007, 08:16 PM Hi
This is my try with that picture. Bojin Taylor 01-20-2007, 06:02 PM I think you did a really good job here.
I would tame the flyaways and continue the air brushed complection down the rest of her body. It seems you stopped at the face. all of the skin needs the same amount of treatment.
The lip could use a bit of attention. And below the brow area could use some smoothing.
But all in all I say your gonna be a star. keep working on it.This really is about seeing deeper into an image. Your right on track by asking for advice though. Sometimes you can get so close to a project it's hard to see it anymore.
As brutal as Ant is being he does have some good points. The ear ring marks should come off. I don't agree about the lashes though. I feel you did an excellant job there.
Keep it up . I look forward to seeing more of your work.

nothing wrong in thinking yu have done a good job...because you have...very nice work...the cleanest picture i think...only minr flaw is the cheek hair on the left cheek..stands out abitin tht shadow area. I would have tried to erase the lines under the right eye more...not all the way, but abit more there...the eyes are very nice, cleand coloruful!
good job

Bye! RokcetScientist 03-30-2007, 07:10 AM My 2 cents:
it is an excellent original, so – imo – retouching doesn't have to be dramatic. Increased brightness in eye-white and teeth, added eye-shadow (dodge), blurred and/or cloned skin blemishes, increased saturation in the lips, added 'warm' photo filter (81).
Looky here for the B4 & After:
