I know this is pretty basic, but I was just playing tonight with a friends family photo and tried taking out her ex husband. How'd I do?
Any suggestions on how I could better handle the edge where he was cut out?

Hi Aurock,
Yep... there he was... gone! I am thinking that what you are asking about is when you click between the before and after... you can see his cutout 'ghost' in the backdrop. Geeze... tough guy to get rid of eh? ;-)
Perhaps some cloning, on a separate layer, from different parts of the background will help blend his ghost away. I gave it a shot.

I see what you mean. I've gone back in and redone some of the cloning where his head was, to clean things up.
Actually, I meant the edges around the girls blue sweater and the other guy's head... her sweater especially looks to me like there's a very hard edge there. Am I imagining things?

aurock,
nope, i see it. it's a hard, black line. just 'nibble' it away from the background to the sweater using clone. then maybe a 'soften' brush to smooth the transition. notice sunfly's rendition.

Perhaps you may wish to move the person a little to the right for better balance

albatross,
whereas i tend to agree about moving that person, you might want to check your cut and paste ;)

That's ok, my cousin didn't really need that part of her head anyway. :)

Oops. Seems to be missing an arm. Oh well.

Old age. I missed taking out part of her head. Other than that its OK. (Until someone else spots something wrong.)

I might suggest cleaning up the bed sheet backdrop and blurring it a bit. your friends a hottie I am sure she will be able to trade up.
