Hey, I just finished my first watercolor attempt, and thoughts/comments/critiques are appreciated. Thanks!

Nice, MrWho. Mind telling us how you did it? Steps, software, filters?

I guess it couldn't hurt ;) I found it in a book called "Photoshop Photo Effects Cookbook" by Tim Shelbourne. I used a PDF from a section of the book that deals with watercolor (it's on this site somewhere). I know I messed up in a few places (the sky, and the rock formations are too clean to be watercolor) but I'm satisfied

Love the original and love the watercolor effect. Did you take the picture? That area of Arizona/Utah is one of my favorite haunts.

Tim Shelbourne's stuff is really good, don't you agree?

I wish I could take pictures that quality (well, the quality of the original higher-res one, anyways)... I've been to Utah and (I think) Arizona, and I might have some semi-decent pics. Tim's stuff is really good, I'll have to pick up one of his books sometime.

BEAUTIFUL photo! I had to take a try at doing a watercolor.

Salt and pepper filter, Slight buzz, VP gourche, VP airbrush, VP watercolor.

I think I like yours better, though.

Hey MrWho,

Once I saw your version of this wonderful image I just had to have a try at creating my version of an watercolor effect using it.

Hope ya'll enjoy.
