I think you did a very good of restoring this old photo. The only comment I have is about the color (which is highly subjective and to a large extent a matter of personal taste). I typically will de-saturate the original and work in RGB grayscale. When finished, I use Hue/Saturation with the colorize box checked to set the final tone. Attached is a revised "after" using Hue=30 and Saturation=15. My preference is for less red and a more subdued

I also did Image=>Adjustment=>levels and hit the "Auto" button
