View Full Version : help with tattoo-lady hey,
i'm following this forum a while now and learned a lot from you pro's!
I'm having difficulties with this tattooed lady (attached file). I want to make some retouches (I'm deeply inspired by http://www.davehillphoto.com/), but for some reason i cant start with this picture  OK ok, some basic retouching, but all the dodge and burning, with this one i can not make something 'special', only some basic stuff....
When i D&B, the skin becomes red, and, i never can to get that 'crispy airbrushed' look.. :depressed
Anyone help please?
thanks!

Fixed that link for ya. Cassidy 02-20-2007, 06:05 AM Thought I'd have a go at this one, but still very shy of the desired goal. Predominantly used a gradient map and an emboss layer. Cimarron 02-20-2007, 07:32 AM I couldn't resist playing with this one too;)
The David Hill site just floored me what amazing work...!
So here's my efforts on this exotic lady
I discovered the histogram equalizer, what amazing effects you can get playing with it! Cimarron 02-20-2007, 07:35 AM Oh and another playing with the histogram;) Cimarron 02-20-2007, 07:36 AM Just one more ... chillin 02-22-2007, 03:08 AM I think, it could be used "Photomatix Pro" to create an HDR image. enigmaphotos 02-22-2007, 06:29 AM Dave Hill... fab. He uses a mixture of HDR, tonemapping and what looks to be a little of Lucis Arts plugins. I'll have a go tonight. It'll be my first image post that way. enigmaphotos 02-22-2007, 02:13 PM Here's my attempt.
A bit of Dave Hill (Lucis Art) and some Amy Dresser thrown in too. chillin 02-23-2007, 10:54 PM I've found nice tutorial that gives good results.

Tattoolady (http://dump.2nite.nl/janou/tattoolady_bewerkt.jpg) stosh7 02-24-2007, 07:26 PM Tried for that Dave Hill look. I think the original lighting has a lot to do with his end products. Anyhow, I think I made a good attempt at capturing the style.
Stosh superkoax 02-24-2007, 07:27 PM my try...som PWL and some enhancing on the eyes...wanted to get th epicture abit overboard and look a bit different and abit artificial...
