Hi,
It's about printing...
I've got a pic, that i need to print in size A1 (594x841 mm)
How many pix should it be for the quality to be perfect? I know theres not like one correct answer, cuz it's also depends on the printer, and it's settings and so on....but picturewise..is there any kind of table for amount of pix vs size of print?

hi,
like you mention there a lot of little factors....
this link has a little table you can use for a guide..... it shows not only recommended pixel size in relation to recommended print size but it also shows relationship between dpi which I think maybe useful for you..

Goddag Steve,
Henrik from Denmark, like you said, you got to come from somewhere :-) but now in the warmer end of the world with soft sand and crystal clear waters, hmm, Oztralia....rambling off :-)
ok, i would suggest that you set your file up to around 250 dpi and if it still looks great you can drop down to 180 dpi, but it really depends on what you will be printing with and if you have a RIP available. If you have the later and you are shooting with anything from 6mpix and up you are fine. Actually you could get away with less.
Basically you need to provide some more info on your hardware

Davs, Henrik :)
u live in københavn?...U ok, after last weeks demonstration?..ur car is still running, and not set on fire? :)
I had a test-print done, and it seem ok actually, i've not tweaked the original settings yet, but i'll do some adjusting, and try again.....but basicly i'm pretty happy with the test-print...but hey, i'm never happy untill it's close to perfect :)
