It turns out all this time we've been doing science (http://scienceblogs.com/cognitivedaily/2007/03/casual_fridays_we_can_identify.php).

Gary, after reading the scientific article that Doug linked to, I have an answer --

It IS a face.

Absolutely.

Gary Richardson

I'd forgotten all about this thread, probably time we resurrected it.

Yup it's a face, and since I don't know who it is any more that's close enough to win. :D

Your turn to pick someone CJ.

Oh, c'mon now, Gary -- are you saying that you can't remember something you did months ago?? (What did I have for lunch yesterday...?)

Gary Richardson

Months? Look at the year!

05-24-2005

Even with the weird order you put things in your side of the pond the year is still 2005, I'm lucky if I can remember why I'm at the top of the stairs these days. :D :D :D

So no prevaricating, you guessed correctly that it's a face and that's good enough for me, now it's your turn to post a picture.

Is it the Eiffel Tower???

Okay, don't want to rile the codger unduly (give you some new words to look up, Gary), I'm posting a new photo on March 3, 2007 (3/3/07 or 03-03-07 -- U.S. or European) ;)

This person has acted in well known movies and had a supporting role in a well-known television series in the U.S.

The building or the musician?

Put your drops in, then look at the new contest photo above that I posted -- it's an easy one. :)

Is this one we're likely to have over here?

it's an easy one.

They always are when you have the answer.

Sorry for the grumpiness, just living up to the old codger title you so graciously bestowed upon me (that and my gout's playing me up). Now you young whippersnapper (there's one for you to look up) what kind of TV series (a general description eg comedy, crime, drama will do).

Actor William Macy

Actor William Macy

Frank -- you are CORRECT!

William H. Macy, nominated for best supporting actor in "Fargo"; a wonderful actor in numerous films including "Pleasantville", "Seabiscuit", "Door to Door" and currently in "Wild Hogs". Had a supporting role in "ER" for a number of years as Chief of Surgery or something. He makes something wonderful out of whatever role he plays.

Frank -- you get to choose the next pixelated celebrity.

P.S. This means that it was NOT Lassie. We use the word "whippersnapper" in the U.S. -- it's part of the English language, you know. ;)

Okay, let's see how long it takes you folks to figure out this one!

(No, Peter, it is NOT Lassie.) ;) But the name is known in most countries.
