[COLOR=LemonChiffon]Hi There,
This is my first time to forum as i've just jointed.
i have a couple of old photos that i'm in the process of repairing but the eyes have disappeared into blackness. what is the best way to bring the eyes out or reproduct them?
The att' photo is one i'm in the middle of repairing at the monent its a good example of what i mean.
I would really appreciate any help that can be thrown my way.
I also have a hassle with working with layers,as to using them i can never get them to come all together when i'm happen with what i have done.
Would some one know of a good site or somewhere on this forum that show exactly what to do from start to finish?
I'm sooo close and yet soooo far from getting it to all come together.
I look forward to hearing from some one soon
Annie :dizzy:

Unfortunately Wingie, those photos are way too small to see detail, maybe refer to here for details about optimal image posting

The original in GIF format shows only two colours for the eyes, which makes detail impossible

wingie, welcome to RP.

the pic posted cant be restored per se. you'd have to rebuild or reconstruct. this can be done. you can either 'borrow' eyes from another picture or draw them in or use something like paint shop pro's 'red eye removal' tool, which has pre-made eyes that can be adjusted in various ways.

i used the latter, but because of the condition of the rest of the picture, i had to adjust it so much to fit the rest of the image for fading, and so on, that you might just be better off drawing some in. you'd probably have to define the entire eye area better if you did that, though.

it seems simple enough to say, but in practice, any of these methods can be difficult, given the shape the original is in. nonetheless, i took a shot.
