Here's a darling calf for you to play with. You may want to clone out the manure...LOL

I've been playing with the pattern stamp. Thanks to all who put me on to this great tool.

Peter... I like what you did with the calf, but not to sure I like the effect applied to the foreground grass. JMHO. Great frame!

Sweetlight nice job there, trouble is he looks very lonely.

Swampy you are right the only good bit was the frame. So tried again.

Ever been to Eureka, Montana???? Lonesome place:) If you look way in the back right you can see about 10 elk milling around. He had some company:)
Thanks,
c
By the way, I tweaked the perspective and all, does he look right or out of sorts?

Sweelight. On the perspective... looks like he's leaning a little to the left.

Peter! Wonderful. I like that one MUCH better. You even left the manure! LOL

Sorry Swampy; not creative tonight. Just doing things that I've already have done in the past. :)

DCSPecial's Ice4, GREYCstoration, Amphisoft Thread (blended in to reduce some the the curly noise), some white balance adjustments, some selective smudging. Used GIMP's Glass Effects filter (two blended layers with different settings) to create the checkered canvas). Also some bumpmapping. :)

lkroll,

On my screen the feet are a bit blown-out but I really, really, really, like the hair on the body, it's awesome, almost real for a young calf but very painterly strokes and swirls. What about just doing some low opacity strands of gray hair in that "wither type" hair on the feet. It's almost a masterpiece.

lkroll I like the beast, when I looked at this full screen, my room turned GREEN. Did you irradiate that with some plutonium or what??? :dizzy: :dizzy:
(I was looking for one of those Smilies with sunglasses on, but couldn't find one, so dizzy will have to do.)
But like I said the calf great.

OK Sweetlight; I Artraged the whites for you. :)

Perfect Ikroll, now one more twitch for me. On the cows front right foot you can see the black between the cloven hoof. If that was put on the other front foot it would be flawless. Remember, OCD<<<<ADD<<< so it's just little stuff but I pick yours as the bestest of this go round.

I don't mind at all and I definitely appreciate the criticism. As I've told others before, I'm not an artist, but a renderer depending heavily on the computer (via filters) to do the majority of the work, but I'm getting closer to the art side. I still have to fake it with Artrage since I do not have a Wacom. I really have my heart set on a Cintiq, but I still am in desperate need of a car; priorities first unfortunately. :)

lkroll,
You are here a bunch and your work is consistent and shows great potential.
Email me direct and when I get back off of location I have an old Wacom 4x5 tablet. Small but still works great. It's USB. If you want it, it's yours.
