First of all i tryed some solvents to remove the spills physically but none worked.Then i tried some methods like colour replacement adjustment layer cloning patching etc but i cannot get it right... I also tryed to make a mask (calculations source 1/2 blue channel > dodge and burn) in order to adjust the colour on the specific areas. I ended up with an alpha channel but i cannot go any further cause my knowledge is limited. Any ideas how to move on, or any other methods to remove the spills?
I attached the original image and a copy of the mask in just in case u can't see the spills

Easiest "quick and dirty" way I could find here was just to create a new layer, set to colour blend and paint it away using colours taken from the good areas.

Hard to know whether this would give a satisfactory result with the full size image, but it works fine for the image posted.

I would first try going into the blue channel and playing around in there. Try cloning some of the good stuff over the bad stuff.

CMYK gave a definate showing in the black channel of where the stain was. Just cleaned it up a bit using clone and then the history brush.

I got the best results with the cmyk method, i can see the spills clearly on the yellow channel. I will continue using both techniques combination (colour blend layer and cmyk) to get it perfect

Simon, here is another method to try that should produce very good results.
After opening the image create a duplicate image (Image>Duplicate). Convert the duplicate image to LAB mode. Go back to the orig image and do Ctrl J to duplicate the background. With the duplicate layer selected do Image>Apply Image. When the dialog window comes up, select the LAB image from the pull down menu and choose the Lightness channel (there is no damage in the L channel) and click OK. Now you will have a grayscale layer on top of the original. Change the Blend Mode of that layer to luminosity.
So now you will still see the stain, however, the lightness or tone difference in the background will have been normalized. Now to fix the color, add a new blank layer on top of the stack and set the blend mode to color. Select the brush tool. Make sure "sample all layers" is checked. Press the Alt Key so sample a nearby color and just paint over the adjacent stain. It will only take you a couple of minutes to paint over the stained area.

I worked mostly on the yellow channel in CMYK mode , made corrections using a new layer in color blending mode.
I tested mistermondeys method using the lightness channel from LAB mode and i find out that this was the perfect final touch after repairing the spills normalizing the light tones specially on the worked areas.
