Hi

I'm new in this forum, and first i would like to congrulate its members for their talentuous skills.

I'm new too in post processing and i'd would like to improve my skills so i've got a question about this kind of processing :

I wonder which tools to use in Photoshop to get this painterly mood

This photo may well have been color manipulated to set the mood, but it is obvious that the creator used another photo of fabric or paper over it and reset the blending mode for the effect layer.

I did a simple sample below. Different blending modes will give you different effects. Also depends somewhat on which layer is on top and which is below. All I did here was place the leaves over some fabric and set the leaves layer to Overlay. Adjusting the opacity of the fabric layer will give a more subtile effect.

Thanks. I tried to put a texture layer on top and didn't think to do the opposite.

I think there is also a blur or glow effect . (don't know the difference :) )
