Sorry that no one has responded yet -- I don't use Elements and don't know the answer, but will this page help?

Try this white paper I wrote:

yes, danny. There are several means of running action in Elements and some change with versions, but running through effects has remained the same.

Richard & CJ - many thanks for the information - I now have several free downloaded actions working beatifully in Elements 5 .
Don't supposed you know of one that will correct WB - I took some lovely macro shots with WB set at Fluro ..only problem is I was in bright sun so everything is way out (love my new DSLR but forgot to check first)

Danny - would recommend you try http://atncentral.com/download.htm,
I also purchased the E5 actions package from graficalicus and have them working nicely also

Danny - would recommend you try http://atncentral.com/download.htm In fact this is among my favorite sites. I've contributed a few PS actions and a tutorial I wrote on actions a couple years back is posted there. Excellent suggestion. :)

DebT,
I have a white-balance/color correction and dynamic range adjustment tool called Dynamic Images on my website. It costs a few dollars, but it is an interactive tool that will help you get the most out of just about any image:

Follow the Downloads link or choose your version of Elements.

Hello... I'm somewhat new to all this and I recently upgraded from PSE3 to PSE5. I used Richard's tutorial (see link above) to install some actions into PSE3 and they worked GREAT! I just tried to use the same tutorial to load those same actions on PSE5 and can't do it... mainly because I can't find the "Effects" folder and the "Cache" folder! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance! :)

Don't load the same actions. Go to the hidden power site and download the Elements 5 tools. The tools for Elements 3 will not all work reliably.

Thank you. I'll check that out!
