The overall effect is nice.
I think the skin would need some work. Not very flattering.

Yeah i was thinking about a lite airbrush to smooth it out. Heres my 2nd attemp.

if you mean THIS dave hill (http://www.davehillphoto.com/), i would practice compositing figures on different backgrounds, playing with depth of field and focus, highpass overlays, instead of airbrushing and smoothing

he's got a interesting hyper-real feeling going for him. things that are supposed to be out of focus aren't, flattens everything right out. richard burbridge does alot of the same sort of thing in his portraits and product stuff
