Peter drb1 04-17-2007, 12:09 PM At this resolution that is impossible. Can you crop to the area you mean, so as to have a better chance at it. Peter cropped picture attached drb1 04-17-2007, 12:12 PM cropped and then enlarged Peter S 04-17-2007, 12:18 PM What I meant was, we need a higher resolution crop of the area, not just a crop of the posted picture. If you could go back to the original picture and crop that, it may help. I am assuming that you had to reze the original at first to be able to post here of course, if that is the full size, I wouldn't think you will get anywhere with it. Peter drb1 04-17-2007, 12:20 PM yea that is the full size. Is there anything that I can do to enhance it? Thanks Ant 04-17-2007, 01:36 PM this isn't csi.. drb1 04-17-2007, 03:48 PM this isn't csi.. it isn't??/ HeatherRankin 04-17-2007, 04:32 PM DRB1, the image resolution is too low to get anything off of that tag. Too much noise once you start to fiddle with it. And Ant, this 'isn't CSI', but at least Peter S and I tried to help instead of just being snarky. drb1 04-17-2007, 04:34 PM DRB1, the image resolution is too low to get anything off of that tag. There is nothing to be done. You did nothing. drb1 04-17-2007, 07:46 PM Owwww my feelings... Oh, you tried to help? There is nothing to be done. You did nothing. Ant - your a bit different aren't you? drb mistermonday 04-17-2007, 10:45 PM DRB, welcome to RP! There is definitely a 6 just right of center and a 5 at the far right. However as the others have pointed there are not enough pixels there to get proper definition. You image resolution is 72 DPI. Your Sony Cybershot was set on the very lowest possible quality image - it is only 640 x 480 pixels for the entire image which means there are very few pixels that make up the whole label. I do not think you can get much more out of this one. Regards, MM drb1 04-17-2007, 11:08 PM mistermonday - thanks that is some great work. I have attached a clearer photo of the serial # tag that I think matches the blurred version. Thanks again drb drb1 04-17-2007, 11:09 PM mistermonday - thanks that is some great work. Thanks again drb forgot the attachment mistermonday 04-17-2007, 11:50 PM DRB, your serial number is: JA3AH86FX3U123758 Added density to the image and sharpened slightly. Regards, Murray drb1 04-18-2007, 12:17 AM mistermonday - thank you very much, that is very good news. drb LESider 04-18-2007, 01:25 PM I think Ant hit the nail on the head with his reply. CSI and such have given people an unrealistic idea of what can be done with a photo. If its blurry your sh!t out of luck. I would also like to add that Ant has been offering some of the best advise on this forum, sure he comes across as an grumpy old professor but he usally hit has more helpfull info in a one liner than any of the paragraph long "Oh your picture is so wonderful and the retouching is amazing" replies. I wish there was a Ant section where you put up your retouching and he does his notes on it, that would almost be worth a paid subscription type of deal.
