I am a newbee and I admit I have not poked around here very much to see what this site has to offer. I am looking for some good photoshop tutorials. Can anyone recommend some?

There are THOUSANDS of Photoshop tutorials. To find one on a specific topic, I would suggest using www.Google.com (http://www.Google.com) to search the Internet.

Use a search arguments such as the following:

photoshop tutorial curves

photoshop tutorial actions

photoshop tutorial basic skills

Just jump onto the iTunes Store and search photoshop under 'podcasts'.

You'll find a mine of Photoshop gold there, all for free :)
