Cool picture, but resolution could be little higher. Anyway, here is my attempt

Some fast cloning (building went really wrong, but you get the idea) and color correction

Color correct to reduce yellow. (Yes, it's a dusty work place and yellow reflects this, but you can reduce it) I used curves and set the eyedroppers for black (hair) white (clouds in the sky) and gray (what looks like water behind the building).

Straightened and cropped.

Used the vanishing point clone filter to repair the torn photo in the building. Regular clone tool for the area in his arm.

This is by no means a finished product, but...

I used threshold & levels to correct the color; like Swampy, I cloned the building in Vanishing Point (love that tool) and other stuff normally. I ran faux Lucis on a duplicate layer and faded it back quite a bit. Finally, because couldn't figure about what to about the general washoutedness, I used Intellihance Pro, which helped. There was some noise reduction in there, too, and possibly Despeckle. I'm probably forgetting something. Basically, I just kept throwing stuff at it and if it stuck, I kept it.

Well done, DC. I didn't spend much time, about 5 minutes so with a little work this photo is completely salvagable.

It is difficult for me to explain, what steps have I taken.
-curves
-levels
-neat image
-byro's razor action
-more color adjustment... a lot of experimenting, but if you wish I can send you some of the PSDs. The patch work you'll do better than me... I didn't finish it.

PS
Thank you byro for your great action (sharpening).

Here's a quick clean up from me.

Pretty much what the others have done, quick colour correction (I used levels) followed by a little cloning to clean up.

I was waiting for the scanner so what i' ve done was a bit circuitous, after clone stamping made 2 files.
1st
convert to AIM G1 rgb profile
assign adobe rgb profile
2nd
assign adobe rgb profile
copy 1st to new layer of 2nd mode multiply
get luminosity mask as selection of 2nd
invert
make a mask from selection on layer multiply
some selective color correction
sharpened by overlay/highpass

-color, bright, contrast correction

saby,
Might be circuitous, but it's beautifully done!

Yep.... saby's is beautifully done! :-) I keep hoping and working at it... and I hope that one day I will be as good as all the pro's on Re Pro. All the tutorials sure are helpful.

Cheers,
Sherry

Hi Sherry,

I think your work as same good as the others, particularly skin retouch and hair and bush cloning, keep going on.

I tried to let the sun show its brightness...cloned/healed the building and mount.
Also mellowed the wind blown ruster tail..
