I want to remove the straps on this Owls legs. Could somebody suggest a technique please? Also I have taken some fence out of the top background but not too pleased with the results. Any ideas for improvement? Thanks

Maverick, the image you posted is way too small - only ~ 0.4 x 0.7 ". Even changing the resolution to 72 ppi it is about 1/3 of the size you should be able to upload.
On a higher res version I would use the clone tool and perhaps touch up with a brush on a blank layer.

Murray is right about the image size. I do have Alien Skin Blow-up which let me enlarge the picture a little.

-patch tool
-cloning
-healing brush.

Thanks guys, so should I create a new layer first before patch tool, cloning etc?

Here's my try with your owl Maverick.

Mostly clone stamp but some dodge tool, also along with a tiny bit of smudging..

PS. How does one make the actual picture show up in the post?

Go to Manage Attachments & upload an image there 100K or less

Thank you Chillin and Maverick..

Yes Maverick, I generally start with copying a new layer some folks start on a new layer.. I also save often.. As I've lost many hours of work, for not doing so. Twice bitten, twice shy.. lol I also save a PSD and Jpeg of the photos I work on..

Anyway, seeing I need the practice attaching a photo here goes...

Hi there... nothing to add in procedures but I like the shot and wanted to play... I did use a little paint with light.

Catchlight added by cloning the catchlight from the left eye with a brush of low opacity.
