Hi I have been dabbling in PSP 9 for a few years now. I have taken the on line classes and feel that I found my calling in the airbrushing. I have been doing this for family and friends and would like to start selling some of my pieces. I use 4 or 5 digital pictures so I can crop and resize the parts that I want to use in the collage. I select a background scenery picture to airbrush on to the bottom layer. I've made them for Christmas, birthdays, circus different things. The one that I am showing here, was made for my Brother-In-Law's Birthday. My question is...What is the art called that I am doing? Does it have a name? I've looked up Photorealism and Hyperrealism. They come close but not sure...Well thank you so much for any help you can give me.

I would call it compositing (as the verb form) or a composit as the noun form.

Collage or montage.

yours is a montage, which is a form of compositing. collage has to do with dissimilar objects and materials being glued on a backing to form art or an image.

Well you did post this in the "critiques" part of the website....

The horses aren't terribly well cut-out/blended, to be honest they don't even fit together that well. I think it looks remarkably kitsch and would be REALLY surprised if people would pay money for this.

Then again, Paris Hilton has sold albums, so who knows.
