Ok, I know I posted here before regarding retouching. I wan to thank all who replied and apologize to those who I never got back to, we've been busy with shows.

Now, to be honest no one really "WOWED" my boss., and that was in part to a really bad JPEG. So here's the deal -- we are still in the market for a retoucher on a piece by piece basis. Here are 2 Nikon RAW files of 2 different pieces. If you feel up to the challenge of either one, please download the file and post you samples in this thread.

Now I am going to sweeten the challenge a bit. We all shoot digital, so I am going to offer a brand new 2GB compact flash card to the winner of the challenge. I don't want anyone to think you are wasting your time or that I am looking for a "freebee".

The file can be downloaded at http://www.cmpdesignz.com/challenge.zip.

Good luck to all and please feel free to e-mail me any questions at christopher@juliusklein.com.

Thanks,
CP

Never tried jewlery retouching before.
Always thought it was boring - but it's quite fun actually.
(Well to me anyway  )

I'll probably end up doing this one again. When I got to the end there was a whole load of new things that I had learned.

I have to be honest, I am not impressed. For starters, on the hanging earring, how about removing the string I used to hold it?

I am away for the holiday, but when I return to my office on Tuesday, I will post my retouched version of the dark gold/diamond heart.

Having never done jewlery retouching before, I'm not sure what you want to see, but I thought that I would give it a try any way.
