I have been asked to supply a reasonable size image from a couple in a group.
This I have done but the enlargement is such the image quality is poor.
I have gone as far as Paint Shop Pro 10 will take me and I also have
Picture Cooler2 and photoartmaster Classic
Which have altered things I cannot say improved any.
Any ideas folks?

One option would be software plugins that do this sort of thing...
* Genuine Fractals - http://www.ononesoftware.com/detail.php?prodLine_id=2
* Blow up: http://www.alienskin.com/blowup/index.html

Photoshop or Photoshop Elements required on these two however. Read system requirements. I'm not aware of Paint Shop Pro compatible plugins.

Photoshop Elements 3.0 (for Blow up) can be had cheap via eBay.

---------------

Another option that's perhaps more realistic in terms of costs would be to search for firms that do this type of work...

I Googled poster printers ...and got a lot of hits.

If you made a few calls and explained your specific needs, I would speculate someone would be able to do the work or point you to firms that could.

Hope this helps.

Is this being done from a photo print on a scanner? If so, let your scanner do the heavy lifting. Target the couple in the photo and tell your scanner to scan at at least 300 DPI for 5 x 7 or 8x10 (finished size).

If this is from a digital shot, use the crop tool set the the finished size at 300 DPI and crop the original that way. Make sure your Photoshop preferences (General) is set to "Bicubic Sharper") before you do this.
