Yes everything POP!

By any chance does anyone know what technique is used to accomplish this photo look (tan, gold, glow and cloth color pop); by the way Photo is by (Johnny Crosslin) I consider he does an outstanding work!

I been asking around but I have not had any luck on how to do the photo retouch. Could any one in the forum take the time to explain or provided steps on how to get a photo like this one? Thank you it will be truly appreciated!

Hi Justin,

You are not the only photographer who's asked about Johnny's technique. I know he does not use gels and does very little photoshop editing. Other photographers will tell you he uses gels. I can tell you this...He does have a make up artist who does a very fine job. He also uses excellent equipment and has mastered light control better than anyone i've seen. I know he uses a rim light with an umbrella bounce. I want to say its the white shoot through but he bounces it onto his subject. He also uses one very large softbox as a main source. that's about it. Having beautiful models, good lighting, excellent (body) make-up, and canon L lenses you might be able to achieve his look. I try but i'm not even close to his quality yet, but hope to get there one day.

In looking at his work again, i must apologize, he does do a bit of editing in photoshop. I noticed he really works on the models eye color and whitening teeth. Needless to say it helps. He may be using a large softbox lined with a gold reflective. Mine is lined with silver and i may just try to line it with gold to see what kind of effect i can achieve. Wouldn't that be something if that was the trick to Johnny's technique?! :- )

His photos are my all time favorite. It's pretty much why I wanted to start doing this. His lighting is amazing.
