The message I get up top is to post something.. I have not been participating in my groups for awhile. My hubby died a month ago today after several years of declining health. Over the past 2 months I have lost my imagination and ambition to do much. I hope it is coming back, at least I took my camera for a short drive last Sunday and took some pictures and a few are worth keeping. I am still feeling very alone and sad....hugs, Shirley

Shirley,
Warm hugs. I hope you will jump back in here and show us what you and that camera have been up to.

Hello all,
While I'm a newbie to RP, I'm not new to life, its joys, and tragedies. Shirley, my heart goes out to you and your family. Your imagination and ambition will return. There is no choice. They are part of the same life you and your husband enjoyed together. The greatest healer for life is life itself. God works in mysterious ways. Keep shooting.
As for me, I have some Photoshop experience, but of course, always hungry for more. My main interest lay in photo retouching. I've seen some remarkable work and can only hope to get as good...eventually.

I just joined RetouchPro a few minutes ago and hope I'm posting in the right place, but I just wanted to say 'hello' from a newbie.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
I'm going to check the site out.

Shirley -- warm hugs and sunshine from Arizona! Losing your husband after years of sharing his suffering is a terrible drain on your heart, mind and soul. Sadness and grief are a natural response. Just don't forget to leave room for all the things you enjoyed doing together -- he is with you each day in your thoughts, so take him with you when you take a walk, when you photograph the lovely landscapes near your home, when you work on your photos in PSP -- share all that beauty still with him -- and us!
