Voting Thread for May 2007 Photo Competition



Voting -- Entries in May 2007 Photo Assignment: "Grace"

This thread is open for voting ONLY by members who submitted entries for this assignment. (Mystical One, Janet Petty, and ScubaMargie)

Post your choices (in this thread) for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd by listing the member's name. If you want to explain your reasons, please do -- we all like to hear how people respond to our images.

Vote for the 3 best entries in order.
Votes will be weighted to give greater weight to First Place votes than to Second and greater weight to Second than to Third place votes. When you place a vote for First Place, that entry will receive three (3) points; when you place a vote for Second, that entry will receive two (2) points, and a vote for Third Place will receive one (1) point.

Example Vote:
Pick the top 3 entries and list in order...

1. Entry X (First Place -- 3 points)
2. Entry A (Second Place -- 2 point)
3. Entry C (Third Place -- 1 point)


Voting will be open from May 25th at 9:10 pm (EDT) to May 29th at 6pm (EDT) If all the votes are submitted earlier than the deadline, I will close this thread and post the winner's name at that time.

I like the clouds. They are just a bit dark on my monitor; but what they hey. I do like the picture.

ScubaMargie's tongue-in-cheek childhood rhyme gave me a chuckle and brought back memories of jokes about long-winded prayer givers and cold food.

My picture wasn't what I wanted but fits the theme. I actually wanted to go to a dance class or martial arts class and shoot students. I didn't make it.

Therefore, all choosing aside. ScubaMargie is the only one of us that hasn't had a turn picking a topic yet. My vote goes to ScubaMargie. That's it. No second, and no third. :)

I really like both the other photos entered into this assignment.

Can I give you both 1.5? I can't decide.

I give both Mystical One and Janet Petty equal first. I am not one to vote for my own image as I think that is wrong.

Thank you both for your votes and now I will go and think up a theme.

Slight correction Janet...I have not picked a topic either, but what the hey. lol

Janet Petty's image has nice composition and is attractive. However, having undergone much personal pain through Christian intolerance, I must, unfortunately say that the image does not represent "grace", but something far worse to my mind.

No offense intended. There was no specification made with the theme "Grace". I assumed that each individual would post his/her individual ideas. That is what I did. Purely personal, just like everyone else is entitled to his/her own preferences.
