Hi everyone,

I decided that I would like to be a photo retoucher. I bought the software Photoshop CS3 , I have books and I am doing an online course.
Please see my first work and let me know what you think (I didn't do too much).

Appreciate any help,

Keren.

Looks like so far you are mostly adjusting brightness and contrast, although I did see a couple of adjustments under the eyes of one of the girls. What you have done so far looks pretty good. Keep after it, and you will be suprised at what you can do in fairly short order.

At photo No. 1, I concentrated mainly on the woman on the left because her face and upper body looks too red. About the other photos, I tried to fix the colors with levels, Hue saturation and curves.
In photo 5, I used liquify to narrow the face and adjused the dark circles under the eyes.

Hi Keren,

had a v.quick play with your 1st Picture.

I think the framing is the real problem with this shot. The curtain backdrop is dominating it, distracting the eye away from the true subject.

A little cropping re-focusses your attention.

I also tweaked levels a bit and sharpened it a little.

You're right the cropping does help.

Thank you.
