You really need to have something to work from, and there isn't much of this image left. I wouldn't even attempt this one.

hi jon,

this is about as bad as you can get with an image and yet still do something with it. but, bear in mind this is going to take a LOT of work and quite a bit of reconstruction and not just restoring.

the first challenge is to find the image, find the picture. and like i said, this one is TOUGH. so, the first thing in helping to find the image is, is this the best possible scan you can get and the best quality you can post? if you have a higher resolution image but couldnt post it due to the file size restriction here, you might post the higher res on somewhere like imageshack or another image hosting server and post a link to here. we're going to need all the help we can get on this one!

This looks like it has some glare on it - is it a photograph of a photograph (or is it just that bad?)? If so, it will be next to impossible to extract detail from the glare - a scan would be helpful.

Thanks to all so far, the photo is more like a giant thick painting, this is a file someone at a muesem scanned, one of my family members took it there to have it redone, but the original is like 16x22 and way to large to scan on a normal scanner, But It is in bad shape I adjusted some channels and made the man come up better, I did alot of adjusting on this one one night, but my skill are not up to the task to redo it, this is pic that whn I am bored I try different things with and see what happens, But this is about the biggest I got of the pic

Hi Jon.

This is all I can get. Anything else would be a guess.
I expected a man and wife in the picture but now I'm not so sure. The person on the right seems to have 'manly' shoulders and I can almost see a moustache but the hat looks like a woman's. The image name is William and Nancy so I guess it must be a woman.

Hope this helps.

Ken.

Wow zekeode!, A little bit of Blur and cleaning around the edjes and you got something there, that is alot more than I got, let me guess, you airbrushed alot of it in, but good job

90% of cloning, 5% burning. Rest is sharpening and adding noise.

Is ther any chance to get a god reproduction of the picture?
the file provided looks like shot with on camera flash...
even ambient light, a tripod and a cable release will do
a better job.
