I've searched the forum but didn't come up with an answer; I want to use duotones in a couple of my photos but unfortunately I'm using Photoshop Elements 5 and the duotones option is missing from the Mode menu.
Is there a way to do it via Elements 5 or is there a filter available that can help out?

If you're looking for real duotones, you'll have to try some of Richard's Hidden Power techniques. But if you're just looking for the duotone look, try a gradient map adjustment layer (make sure your image is in RGB first). It can look a bit severe at first, but use Color or some of the other blend modes and you can get some very attractive effects.

Thanks, I'm waiting for the book to be released. I'm already using the free tools and I purchased the Hidden Power Dynamic Images tool from which the Colour Correct tool has already helped me out a lot. I'll have a look at the method you suggested.
