I like your edit but I would keep the background. I used my Contrast Mask action on this.

well, that is your opinion...personally i like it white...and the client did too...They didn't have any other bed sheets to take, so if I had any other bed sheets...brown or grey I would go for the bakcground...thanks foir replying...

cheers

The customer is the only one that counts! ;-)

good look the only thing I would say is try to keep some of the fur texture in the white areas on the black and white dog. Other than that, I think it looks good, you did a good job of removing the background.

The contrast in the Collie was a bit too much, and some of the detail visible in the original shot was missing in the black fur areas, also a bit blown out in the white chest fur area.

If I want to be really nitpicking some of the fine hair details have been lost in the Collie picture as well, but hair extraction is almost never perfect, and so long as the customer didn't see the original shot they shouldn't notice.

what about theyr feets? With the bacgground it makes sence you cant see their feets, but when you blow it out it looks worng. lke you erased them by mistake. That and the lose of detail, otherwise fine :)

Hi Jerry...I like the way the bulldog came out, but the collie is just a little too washed out for me....how about this, I've cut out the dog, put it on a white background, then brought back some of the drapes around the dogs feet. I think it looks a little mor reallistic, and doesn't blow the chest fur out....

Nice photos, the one think that keeps bothering me is the ears on the collie.
I would did a little glamorizing and copy and past his good ear onto the right, I also copied the eye.

britsdad, you ideas around the contrast are very good!

Nice to get some good advice from all of you guys! The blown out areas around the feet well didn't see the solution until britsdad came along really!

CathyH, the ears are ok, but your version with careful planning should do the trick! thanks!

csspringer: nice comic versjion there! the facial expression of the dog get's a new side of it really...funny!

Sanda & Gary : I did struggle abit with contrast and texture, but with new improved dose of inspiration thanks to you guys I'm going "back in"

Cheers
