I took this photo back in 1989 and recently scanned it to my PC. I really like the image but I am not sure what to do with it. I thought that maybe if I destaruate the background and then use motion blur to make the car stand out better but it is just not doing it for me.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Saby it looks like you cropped, sharpened and adjusted levels, what else did you do?

Great job....Thanks!

It was clonestamped to get the car in the middle, rotated a bit. The highlights and shadows were concentarted on the car by levels and mask -as you got it-, the shade on the side was darkened and highlights were lightened by screen blended layer, masked by levelcorrected green channel. Some metal surface were blured.

Sometimes a change of background can make for a funny picture.

Swampy your a treat, I have enjoyed your video tutorials, they have been a great help to me in my efforts to learn photoshop. When I saw what you did to my image a laughed for 10 minutes. Great stuff.

Thanks! :)

I think that this mostly needs a little motion blur, especially on the tires. Even if the car is moving slow, the tires should have some radial blur.
