Hiya guys,
Here's another one for you...When I go into "quick mask" mode I can add to the mask by painting in black, but for some reason I can't take away from it by painting with white. It used to work, and I cannot recall changeing anything in the preferences of late.
Now, when I choose the eraser tool it works properly but of course the wrong way round (white adds, black removes)
Have I managed to change a setting for the brush somehow? Any help please?
John

is your brush setting in "normal" mode? you might have it in overlay.

KR1156....That was quick! You are almost spot on there I had it in "darken" changed it to "normal" and Hay-presto it works.......you're a star :)
Such a small thing causeing all that trouble, I'll remember that for next time.
Cheers.....John

John...

Here's a couple QM tricks if you've not seen them before:
* Filter > Other > Minimum
* Filter > Other > Maximum

These filters will expand or contract the selection area by the number of pixels specified in the filter dialog.

Blur > Gaussian Blur will "feather" the selection.

These are an alternative to Select > Feather and Select > Modify [Expand, Contract]. The benefit is being able to "see" the result of the change as you tweak the setting values.
