I was bored so I went hunting for photos to retouch and found this one on Stock.Xchng. Thought I'd share it for others to play with also. Bonus points for those who retouch the photo and don't blur the skin as her skin is already pretty good with only a few blemishes (and I don't like how blurred skin looks).

If you want the full size picture you can download it here (http://www.sxc.hu/photo/764724)

And here's my work. Had a bit of fun using various tools. I think my one major complaint was that I accidentally over sharpened the hair and had done too much before I noticed that every one of her split ends were magnified. D'oh!

I think she just needs a dress with a more cheerful color.

I didn't like the dark makeup on this model, so I made it lighter. Also, I cleaned up her eyebrows to open up her eyes.
Plus little corrections here and there.

Used Redfield's Facial Expression filter and a few other tricks. Below's a link for the full body version (breast enhancements of course). :)

Hi all, First time poster been lurking for a week or two. Here is my attempt. I attached the image crossing fingers that it's actually there since I don't see a way to view it.

There really wasn't that much to do to this image. Oh well her it is....

Take care,
Jim

Please feel free to rip my attempt.

are u making fun of me? the girl in the picture is really me. some of you did nice work, but the others made fun of me. can you try to be more attached to art, not to just making fun?

Here is my take on it. I just cleaned up the blemishes, lightened and rotated her eyes, saturated it more and lightened some of the shadows.

Hi Roxxanas,

I want to assure you I'm not making fun of you and I don't think anyone else here is either. I picked this photo to work on because I thought the girl in it was very pretty and had almost near perfect skin (so jealous!), much like you might get for a high-end fashion shoot. Being an aspiring retoucher, it is hard to find actual high-end pictures to work on and when I saw yours I thought it would be perfect to try out several techniques and practice.

Check out this site, you'll see we don't make fun of the pictures we use. This site is a learning tool to improve our skills.

Thank you for sharing your photo on stock.xchng and allowing us to use it as a learning tool.

I agree with it being to soft, so I added new skin texture, brightened/darkened all over, work with hair details, yet still going for a natural "in the movies" feeling.

Hi Kerry
Here is what I did. Roxxanne is very pretty and I tried to glamorizer even more.
