I don't know how many of you use Fluid Mask for intricate masking.
I've been using for the last year or so. It's not easy to learn, but now there's a new version about to be released.

The new version, Fluid Mask 3, works with PS2 and PS3. The Windows beta version has been released and you can download it and play around. It's has a new interface and is vastly improved over the earlier version. It's still tricky, though, to learn the ins and outs of having the program do what you want so I still clean up in Photoshop.

I'm planning to buy the new version, which is supposed to be released around July 1st. The Mac beta version, I think, is being released this week.

If you or anyone else is interested in purchasing, there's special price for Version 3 being offered until June 30th. It's $179 and includes the earlier version. The price will be $239 after Version 3 is released.

If you're interested in purchasing at the special price, contact Mornee Sherry and tell him Virginia Bacon suggested you call.

P.S. I've tried the new PS3 masking features and tried to compare results with Fluid Mask. While PS3 masks are much easier to create, I still couldn't get the same results I can with Fluid Mask. If you're looking to do intricate masks, Fluid Mask is the best tool I've found so far.

Fluid Mask is definitely worth trying, but do so before the final version is released. All the features are enabled. After release they won't be.
