Hello. I did this retouch, and I need some honest critiques. I'm trying to get better at this. Do you think I should have kept more of the skin texture?

Nyxxie there seems to be a green cast in the skintones not sure if its just my computer or not but i see it in the before and after,as far as overall look and feel I think it always depends on what feel your looking for.I think this phot could go either way a really gritty look or very soft loving look
just my opinion zganie

Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure if I see a green cast. But who knows, it could be my monitor. The feel I'm going for is just clean and realistic...

Nice appearance, but I also can see some greeny cast in 2/3, lost skin texture in h/l. I would also suggest to remove blue line under the hand and straighten the neck line of the girl with brush. I'm not sure, if noise median filter was applied, but if so, it caused also lost details in hair.

Hi nyxxie
i've looked at your photo i agree with the others there are some green textures going on try changing your monitor to 24 bits i had that problem myself i had critique on my website someone mention one of my photo the man was blue another said his shirt was green, my man is white and is wearing a white shirt so when i changed my monitor to 24 bits i saw what the other two critiques saw.
a little tip try and calibrate your pc and printer if you don't know about calibration just search the web there are very good tips out there find out more about scanning and saving images for the web etc.
I believe in giving a few tips if i can even though i am newbie there is no point giving critique about someone work being blue, green and yellow without explaining what could be the problem.
cheers
