A friend of mine is getting an error message with a psd file I sent him - it comes up as "Error 565" - can anybody tell me what that means? Thanks!

Thanks! smak 06-29-2007, 11:02 AM Is the friend using Paint shop pro to open the file. If so, flatten the PSD file and send it to them again. byRo 06-29-2007, 04:27 PM Agreed smak,:bigthmb: Although if the file is in PSD then, probably, having it in separate layers would be the whole point. Options: 1) Open the file in Photoshop, not Paint Shop Pro (OK, that was obvious, I know); 2) Get your friend to try a newer version of Paint Shop Pro (download a trial version, maybe); 3) Save it with Paint Shop Pro before sending. 4) Send it as PSD but avoid anything fancy, just image layers, RGB. Rô ndicki 07-01-2007, 03:59 AM Thanks - you're both bang on. He didn't tell me it was Paintshop Pro he was using, and an old one at that, v7. I used a trial version of PSP8 to re-do it, but that doesn't seem to have worked either. As it has about forty layers, some of which he needs to be able to work on, I can't flatten it, either. I've told him just what you suggested, to go and download a more recent trial version, and see what happens. Thanks again! byRo 07-01-2007, 01:51 PM Don't forget to tell us if it worked out - other folks might encounter the same problem. Rô |
