Hello! I am not much of a geek. And this is not a color management problem. I had it once before but can't remember what caused it or what fixed it. Have a deadline and can't work on the images at all while they show on the monitor this way.
What I am getting is a very harsh (almost a Photoshop posterization effect) on old and new images (anything on file) where the transitions between highlights and shadows in particular look red and jagged. Really unattractive and impossible to process even RAW files.
I can't even show a sample because it only is on my monitor. I sent copies to my assistant and the lab and the images are fine on their monitors.
Has any one else ever heard of this? Please contact me at ariesproductions@provide.net or via this site (use the email if not responding right away as I may not stay here long tonight...looking for a pal who will let me finish this job on their computer if need be so I don't miss the deadline).
Thanks much...I have not contributed much so far. New and learning but will be sending samples and really getting into the forums more as time goes on. Many of you are amazing. Some of what you say is a bit over my head but as time goes on, I think I will catch up. I learn something new every time I visit.
I do hope someone can help with my little dilemma.
Fingers crossed!!!
