Hi Swampy your stamp tool watercolor is really nice.
I gave this a different kind of look.

Cathy, that soft "blurry" look goes well with the heavy saturation.

Yet again a nice photo Swampy

I must go over your pattern stamp tool tutorial again, you get some great rendiitions from it but i dont think to use it ! ! !

Cathy i like the darker feel to yours

Steve maybe the were all camera shy ? nice style you have got lately, is it still from Paint Shop Pro?

Alcar I Love it ( yep that simple)

I went down the watercolour road, one with texture one without ( couldnt make my mind up again )

Steve, another nice one from you. There is a man way in the background to the right of that big tall red door at center left, but that was my first thought too. Must have been early morning.

Alan, that is a beautiful watercolor! What software?

Palms, nice soft renditions. I use a lot of texture with my brushes when I use the Pattern Stamp Tool. Of course you pick the saved pattern source to paint from, but I go to the brushes palette an add texture change other settings (scatter, flows etc.) for brushes. My problem is, I often forget what I did and don't save the brush as a preset. Then when I do, I forget what I named that cool brush...sigh.

Swampy, my image followed your Art 101 tute by simplifying the image, followed by Dry Brush but then painting the image onto a white canvas in Photoshop.

Thanks, Alan. You did a fabulous job. Did you use the Patern Stamp or History brush to paint? It's got all the great "blotches" of a water color.

Swampy, I used a Nagel Series 40 brush, either a splatter or watercolor, and painted on a white layer using a reveal all mask.

Alan... Here's my version of your technique. I also used a Nagel with some tweeks in the brush palette. Thanks for the tip.

This one was fun to artify. It has so much character.

Alan, love your rendition.

Still mostly Paint Shop Pro, with a side trip to Photoshop Elements 4 for some help now and again. This is Paint Shop Pro and Snap Art manipulations mostly.

Few shots with a rifle first, then with a camera :)

actually, there is a person in the shot.

now, i dont think i've ever said this of any image posted here and particularly with the level of talent that exists here with you all, but i like the original more than the renditions done. and i mean no disparagement of anyone's work. it's just that this is a VERY good shot. the subtle changes in lighting, the various elements spread out, the color balance... it's like a collage all by itself and a very well done one.

that probably wont keep me from trying one of my own, but it's just a great shot!

i like that one too, peter. sort of a water color bleed look. seems a little over-balanced on the white pavement now, with the colors subdued, though.
