Assistant must have strong working knowlege of Photoshop on Mac Computers. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXCELLENT PHOTOSHOP RETOUCHING SKILLS , YOU NEED NOT APPLY.The majority of the photographic retouching is on architectural files as well as some portrait files. Assistant must be organized, well-spoken, self-motivated, reliable, easy to get along with, and have the ability to multi-task in a busy office environment. printers are doing the same thing these days, they want you to know all the CS3 apps related to printing, you have to know how to color correct, trap, make plates, page assembly, preflight, MS word, excel, and a bachelors degree would be nice as well and you have to have prior experience so you can make 30k a year...

As much as I hate to admit, this ad is still better than all the ads I've read in L.A. None of them offers more than $12 here. I came across this one ad that required the retoucher to have extensive experience in PHP programming while paying $10 per hour. Ads like that irritate me more than dealing with traffic in L.A.

On the other note, pixartindia is the perfect example of some posters here that don't bother to read or read the posts in their entirety before replying.

Dont get me wrong, retouching is still an art and there have always been apprentices, but COME ON!
