I had like to know how to do this texture on a normal photo :

In your post you ask, "How do I do this to a picture?" Would I be correct that you want to know how to remove the damage?

The picture is printed on a textured paper. An FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) filter is used to take out that type of texture. The tutorial for using the FFT filter is here on RetouchPRO.

If would be helpful if you shared the type of retouching software that you are using. Not all programs have the same tools. The clone tool, healing brush would be most helpful in working on this type of damage.

May I assume that you are talking about doing this in Photoshop or some other program and not physically?

You could try using the original image you posted as a distortion map for the image of yourself. I don't know if that would work.

What I want to do is to take a good picture of me and to turn it into a spoiled picture like is shown in destroyed " the cracks and stains galore" photo.

Is it possible and with which technique? If not possible, ok.

Is this close to what you are looking for? I copied the blue channel, then made a levels adj., after that I burned the shadows and dodged the highlights. Then I selected the highlights . Bring this into the file that you are working on. Make a copy of your picture and put a white layer below your picture. Select the cracks, now on your copied picture hit delete. Now add a small drop shadow to your copied picture and adjust to taste.

This is the first time I've ever tried to UNrestore an image!

Took your original image and made a copy of the Blue channel. Used Levels to bring in the endpoints, then painted with black in overlay mode at 20% opacity until all the gray was gone.

Opened the image to be damaged, created a new layer and used the modified channel from the first image to make a selection which I then filled with white. Then added Bevel layer style to give the cracks depth.

Used a Brightness/Contrast Adjustment layer to simulate fading and a Photo Filter Adjustment layer to create a yellow cast. I used a Gradient overlay to make the cast uneven.

Then I shift-dragged your original image onto my working image and set the new layer's blend mode to Hue. This created the stains.

Then I created a blank layer, opened Layer Styles, set fill to 0%, selected Bevel and Emboss, and just started drawing in wrinkles.

Finally a pattern overlay to introduce some noise and a .5 pixel blur to soften everything up.

hehe, well, this isnt exactly restoration now, is it :) but, since it's in the neighborhood...

rikla, there are filters which can 'age' a photo. cs2 shld have some of these. things like 'old newspaper', sepia filters, corner curling and so on. and filter forge ( http://www.filterforge.com ) shld have some aging and cracking filters also.

you can also do aging and damaging by hand. saturation can be lowered with a hue/sat filter. noise can be added with a noise filter. blurring and smudging can be done with blurring filters and smudging tools. graphics23 has done a very good job in showing you some of these.
