Frogger des151 07-24-2007, 05:56 PM Hi Frogger,
Are you in lab mode? If you are switch to rgb mode.
Ray mistermonday 07-24-2007, 06:30 PM Frogger, you should not be selecting anything. Filter>Render>Difference Clouds works on the whole layer in this case. There is nothing to select. Also after you apply this once, all you need to do is enter Ctrl+F five more times -that is the keyboard shortcut to apply the last filter again.
Regards, Murray Frogger 07-24-2007, 07:36 PM I am in RGB mode and I never could select anything from the get go
Just made the layer and put it Black that is it.
when I went to the top to do the cloud it was not highlighted, so couldnt even do the first time?
Frogger des151 07-24-2007, 08:19 PM frogger,
When you click on filter, is the last filter, artistic, brush strokes, sketch, texture grayed out?

Is there a Preset or a Reset or a Default I can do and if so will I lose my Brushes Ive added if I do this?
Thanks for your assistance
Frogger Frogger, it looks to me like you are working on the background layer. Duplicate it and work on the copy instead and see if that solves the problem. mistermonday 07-24-2007, 10:12 PM Frogger, I see your problem. You are using Photoshop CS2 and your image is in 16 bit! Render Difference Clouds will work on a 16 bit image only in CS3 or later. It will not work in CS2. You will need to convert the image to 8 bit.
Regards, Murray Frogger 07-25-2007, 04:02 AM Great thank you,
Does 8 bit take away from animation or detail?
I know im full of questions Sorry
Frogger des151 07-25-2007, 05:21 AM Nice murray, thanks for the help.
Ray mistermonday 07-25-2007, 05:42 PM Frogger, no you will likely not notice any difference for what you are doing.
