This is a montage created using Photoshop drawing tools and "smart objects".
I used 5 "smart objects" in this composition.
Can you spot them all?

I would have to say the bird(s), tent and 3 deer.

Your montage has a problem in lighting and shadows. The elements all have light coming from different sources and there are no shadows. Also, the background is more painterly looking than the deer which are photographic in style.

Four out of five isn’t bad, Swampy!
One more to go.
Thank you for the critique.

My smart objects were created at different times of the day so that’s where the lighting issue comes from. I’ll take a look at the shadow question.

The juxtaposition of images, photo-realistic and those created with Photoshop drawing tools, was intentional. That’s a style element I often use, especially on photo web sites. Photographers often prefer montages with photo-realistic elements.

I gather you prefer a single style.

Many thanks!

For the most part yes. Out of context your montage didn't make sense to me (some areas painted, some photographic). In a series of images it would probably make sense. A "Roger Rabbit" look does have it's usages though. I once did a series of images for a friend who had her son's school pictures (grades 1 - 12) that she wanted done with a cartoony style background/border. I used the year of the picture as the title on a book in the background.
