I call this one "Lead Out". My first attempt at impressionism.

For the most part, that's very good, rab. The only thing I see that is out of contex is the sky. If the style is impressionist, then the sky should follow. As it is now, it's too flat and photographic looking.

Yeah, I see your point. There was nothing in the sky in the photo, no clouds, no nothing. I guess I need to add something.

Rab, see my Tutorial on "Fixing a blownout sky". You can paint some clouds on the resulting mask to add some interest to the sky before you paint it.

Very nice results... I like your style.

One way to get filters and plugins to work in areas with no color variation (like big blue sky) is to "add some noise" first. That gives them something to "grab onto."

Here (using Photoshop) I added some noise and applied the Crystalize, Dry Brush and Gaussian blur filters. Not quite the results you got, but you get the idea.

Thanks Swampy and Danny, I did it all with the AHB and never thought of adding noise to it for texture. I just learned about the AHB today so expect some really weird stuff over the next few weeks.
