I see more than just dodging, Conan. Skin smoothing etc.
Handmade... My one major objection is, her neck looks dirty and that's distracting.

the skin is not retouched enough in the forhead area...her neck could have been better...the left shoulder where you removed the necklace that are needs abit smoothing...nice job on the hair, but only to tip is to take away some of the hair that really make the retouched look to similar to the other saide if you know what I mean?
Otherwise a dull photography to play with :P

Nice work. It all depends on what your ultimate goal for the photograph is. If you're trying to 'airbrush' like in a magazine it needs a little more work. I would suggest lightening the eyes a little bit more. I feel very distanced from this lady simply because her eyes aren't very inviting. Reduce some of that mascara, and lighten her eyes so they are inviting. Great job with the hair! I think it looks very natural.

It almost looks like a painting...but only on the skin. I don't think that works unless you are doing the entire picture. If you lower the opacity of the edited layer to 50% to blend with the original I think it looks more natural.

thanks all for your input, I'll try a little more with that pic. oh and about the neck, I cant even the distracting color with her skin color, I tried neutral layer paingting and curves.. but with no success.

Here is what I did, I think you did a pretty good job keeping the detail which is pretty hard when working on an older eprson expecialy when they want to look younger.
Here is what I did, not my best though.

Great work with hair, but I think that you should do something with the shadows. They're not looking good.
