Gee, Steve, I thought working on those bright colors would perk ya up, hon! Your version is very colorful and pretty.

Again using Xero's Abstractor (guess I'm in my Abstract phase; lol) for this one; lot's of preprocessing (don't ask) before the Abstractor application. Here (http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/879/mardigrasmaskgm9.jpg)'s the full rendering (attached is a crop). :)

Lots of motion in that one, Steve. What kind of brush did you use?

I used a brush style I created in Gertrudis.

The original which was about 5 or 600 KB looked a bit sharper, but we can't have everything. :)

Thank you Swampy,

I wish I could paint like that. Actually it's all smoke and mirrors. I applied an assortment of adjustment layers (don't remember what right now) and blends and flattened the image. Then I ran it through Alien Skin's Snap Art Impasto plugin. Finally I duped the layer and used the emboss filter, set to multiply, and reduced the opacity.

Thanks for the work flow, Alan. I haven't sprung for Snap Art or too many other filters. Maybe for Christmas.....:-)
