Swampy 07-31-2007, 11:49 AM Excellent results, klautt! :-) Steve Conway 07-31-2007, 12:56 PM Down by the old mill stream. Steve C. DannyRaphael 07-31-2007, 04:19 PM Very nice pic... they just don't make 'em like they used too. On my interpretation using Photoshop I... * Enlarged using Image > Image Size * Applied Smart Blur (Normal) to simplify the detail a bit * Applied Dry Brush to rough up things up some * Used the Smudge tool to soften some of the edges * Duplicated the Background, dragged duplicated layer to top of layer stack and applied Impressionist > Crayon > Short choppy strokes to add some texture; set layer blend mode to Multiply and lowered opacity * Duplicated the Background again, dragged duplicated layer to top of layer stack and added Hide All layer mask. Air brushed white mask in areas where I wanted to restore a little detail, like around the vertical streams of water * Image > Adjustments > Saturation - increase saturation setting to boost the colors a bit Swampy 08-01-2007, 02:51 AM Fantastic, Danny! Bob Mc 08-02-2007, 11:06 AM I like that picture Klautt. Here are 2 attempts at watercolor I did a light application of Buzz simplifier 1 to remove some of the detail Next came two Pencil Pixel actions merged one over the other and finally a couple of different blending modes Swampy 08-02-2007, 12:39 PM Very nice, Bob! Love the first one. Soft water color look. Bob Mc 08-02-2007, 02:57 PM I'm not sure how I square this with my primary interest in watercolor (photo-art watercolor, that is)... but recently since I got the Pencil Pixel actions I'm facinated by the LeRoy Neiman style. That style probably doesn't fit with a landscape picture like this ...but I just hadda try. The first picture has a slight Buzz ( as I intend to have a little after 5) and one of the Neiman actions from Pencil Pixels. The second picture starts with the same Buzz but prior to the Neiman action I ran Virtual Painter 4 with a custom Airbrush effect. The thing about several of the VP4 effects is that they generate some very bright colors and can distort the subject if you choose. I thought that was somewhat Neiman-ish Regards Bob Mc rab3rd 08-03-2007, 05:24 AM Heres my go..... 48845 pavel123 08-03-2007, 06:29 PM Rab, AHB is looking nice Photoshop, impressionist, VP5 rab3rd 08-04-2007, 05:55 AM Thanks pavel, yours looks great. |
