Mesmerize Studios, a Division of SK+G advertising agency, is seeking an Imaging Director. Our agency is 150+ employees and growing. This position reports to senior management and will be responsible for the following:
Generating and manipulating graphic images utilizing advanced techniques, software and tools, remaining abreast of technological advances in the field and is able to identify areas of use in the organization, supervising, training, directing and inspiring other employees, working autonomously, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, Possessing strong artistic ability and technical skills, with an emphasis on expertise in Photoshop, accessing files from clients, anticipating, planning and correcting any problems, operating and fine-tuning both basic and advanced settings for hardware-or software-based PostScript RIPs, directing the inventory, tracking and ordering of supplies and equipment relevant to the department, performing and directing a variety of clerical tasks such as job tracking, invoicing, and file organizationand producing and reviewing proofs.
Must have an eye for color and an attention to detail; as well as, knowledge of the advertising industry, color workflow environments, traditional art, photography, printing processes, post-agency reproduction,pre-flight software and design applications such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
A great deal of creativity and latitude is expected. Ideal candidate will perform well under pressure and troubleshoot files, software and hardware.
Must have great communication skills for:
Procuring jobs.
Negotiating and bid quotes.
Requesting purchase orders.
Interpreting client direction in order to accomplish jobs.
