I a working for a professional photographer doing photo retouching. I'm already pretty good, but I want to be PERFECT. I want to know the best/most professional way of going about retouching.

Do you guys know any books that I can use to polish up my skills? Most of the books out there seem to teach really basic things (like how to erase a pimple). I need something quick! Thanks!

Hi,

The two books that I would suggest in addition to the one by K. Eismann posted above are:
(I would add that K. Eismann also offers a retouching CD Tutorial in addition to her books. Check out her web page. The last time I looked it was about $150.00)
SKIN by Lee Varis ISBN: 0-470-04733-x
and
Digital Restoration From Start to Finish by Ctein (pronounced: Kuh tine')
ISBN: 0-240-80814-2

If you are looking for color correction:

Photoshop LAB Color by Dan Marbulis ISBN; 0-321-35678-0
and
Professional Photoshop 5th Edition The Classic Guide to Color Correction

D. Margulis ISBN: 0-321-44017-x

Hope some of these might help.
