Not to worry: Normally I don't put my children in harms way for a photo. These tracks are abandoned. :)
I wanted to try out a new lens (Sigma 50-150 F/2.8) and was looking for a depth of field effect.
Anyway, I thought this would be a good one on which to practice. Have fun.

Enjoyed the play Danny. Used German Flag smooth Gradient blending with ACE (all set to Value on Top of the Original layer) to Cartoonize it somewhat. Added some distortion and cleaning (mainly with smudging) steps before ported the result into my bitmap to vector routine and blending it back with the afore effort. Few additional cleaning steps and voila. :)

Well done, guys... I like both your interpretations.
Meant to zap the tatoos before I uploaded it. Fortunately they "washed off" in real life. :)

Here's one I posted in another thread to demo a couple of Mike Warren's custom Photoshop textures...
http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49551&d=1187757152
It's basically duplicate copies of a desaturated Background, to which Unsharp Mask using different settings was applied. Combined the individual layers using layer masks and touched up with Clone tool.
New layer set to Overlay and filled with 50% gray, Texturizer filter applied specifying one of Mike's textures. Add layer mask and selectively reveal texture.
Another new layer set to Overlay and filled with 50% gray, Texturizer filter applied specifying a different Mike Warren texture. Add layer mask and selectively reveal texture #2.
Add stroke frame...

The tracks make a nice impressionist BG.

Here's a couple done in Photoshop. The first is a smudge and the second a painting using the Snap Art filter. After extracting Nathaniel I created a custom BG.

Hats off to those of you who replaced the background. That was a significant improvement in each interpretation.
Janet: Ditto Lonnie's comment. Great texture effect, too.
