Hello to all. I have been learning to scan and restore/digitize my slide collection. Using a Nikon LS2000, Win xp. Things went fine till I started to get lines in the scan. I have attached a copy of a scan. The lines appear at the same place each time I scan. Previous to this the scans were fine - they just started to appear. Please help.

This would indicate that most likely there are dirt particles on the sensor elements where you see the lines. That is why they appear in the same locations on all scans. It is also possible but less likely that those sensor elements no longer function. Get some compressed air (Not those Dust Off cans). Fill a tank with about 90 PSI and give the sensor area a good blast to blow off the dirt.
