View Full Version : Maybe Watercolor? amica999 09-01-2007, 06:14 PM Hi to all of you "retouch-Masters",
I have a nice shot of a chinese Restaurant located in Berlin which actually cries for an art-retouch. Give it a try at will...
Greetings from Berlin amica999 09-01-2007, 06:27 PM This is my "NOOB-Try"..:-)
I know that you are going to take´my breath with your tries, but I didn't want to leave with empty hands...:-) Kraellin 09-01-2007, 09:26 PM amica, nice pic. i like your texture on most of the image. it's just the sky where it stands out as being a pattern and i'm just not used to patterns as being the texture. i like the overall; it's just that texture in the sky that distracts me. but, i suppose that's a personal taste thing. First I straightened it, then did my little watercolor process. How's the food there, amica999? palms1 09-02-2007, 04:14 AM Amica that is a very impressive restaurant,Unfortunately it is a bit to far for take aways
Two interpretations here a ahb and a super bright one ! ! ( sorry though no watercolour )
Palms Swampy 09-02-2007, 08:37 AM Amica... terriffic photo. Had fun with this play. Steve Conway 09-02-2007, 09:16 AM Hey! Let's have lunch!
Nice looking place.
Steve C. amica999 09-02-2007, 11:53 AM Thanks for playing..I knew you would do..all of you..taking my breath away. Nice works and I can't tell which one I like best...they all look absolutely unique.
@Kraellin, you are absolutely right, the texture takes up too much place. Will try to improve.
@LonK, I knew it was a bit of a crooky shot, but you proved as I expected: not much of a prob for you cracks :-) The food there is good, but I know places where it is better, although they lack the atmosphere given here.
@Palms, I like your technique. Any chance of a mini tutorial?
@Swampy, thank you. Nice work. like what you did to the edges..:-)
@Steve, come on over..:-) sweet looking:-) Bob Mc 09-02-2007, 12:04 PM Nice picture
Started off thinking about a watercolor but as usual went in several different directions. Did a slight Buzz and then my thinking was that a watercolor effect would mute some of the colors - so I ramped up the colors - but then went down the chalky sketchy road.
The left image is a process I've been messing with and the right effect is done with Little Ink Pot's Chalkaholic plug-in. Both done in Paint Shop Pro 9 because I like to use their Quick Photo Fix process
Regards
Bob Mc Bob Mc 09-02-2007, 12:19 PM Ok - I just couldn't resist it
While I'm tryng to learn Swampy's watercolor technique and Palm's Art History Brush technique - which are both terrific - but I'm slow and I need to go repair a broken sprinkler very soon now... so, I just submit these two and get to my chores
Slight Buzz and Pencil Pixel's wc action on the left - and Neimen action on the right
Regards
