Here are my votes:

1. MatthewMarshall - Best overall. Good job Matt!

2. CathyH - Certainly the prettiest. Would've been #1 but was more summer goddess than ice princess.

3. LonK - Very good. Best princess look. Excellent job with jewelry.

4. Splata - Nice ice, baby! :)

5. Grafx - Another good ice version.

Honorable mention to:

OnFocus - Nice overall, but a bit brutish looking for a princess.

Emilylt87 - You have a great style. I love what you did with the eyes!

Nimfabebe - Very interesting treatment.

Now I don't have to worry about being turned into a frog while I'm on vacation!

Good luck everyone!

I tried to keep in mind that the outcome was to be something which a makeup artist could duplicate.

Hi! Here are my votes ! But before I want to explain the way I chose these artworks. :)
The contest was NOT about ONLY make-up, but also effects. It is for a movie so it must impress the viewer. I've taken into consideration the way each of the works could impress me, and also stay in my mind . Originality was an important point, as important as the skills and the photographic look.
I didn't like the images with taned skin, or with elements that simply didn't fit. I also found a negative point in the ones that didn't correct the lips ( and u can't show investors an image like that :) )
Votes:
1.LonK because the girl looks beautiful. I would want to see a movie with it. Is not that photograhic, but is my favourite. All the elements are well thought and his skills are amazing. It's an artwork worth showing to the investors.
2.wojtek . The girl is simple, but sometimes less is more. I would like to see some more elements. It's photographic and classical.
3. roundrock I would like that crown to be more realistic, but overall it looks ok.
4.NancyJ I love the eyes ( just a little more work to remove the red ).
5.Racc Iria The best cristalised hair. :)

Thank u and good luck all ! :)

Wow
such wonderful entries. The rules clearly stated "*Final image must still look like a photograph" so I first crossed those that didn't follow the criteria off my list and came up with:

1. Mikkimicole
2. Mathew Marshal
3. Racc Iria
4. Back Waters
5. Cupcake

Honorable mentions to:
Platterpro and graphix....both wonderful entries - but I just ran out of votes!
And also to Lonk and Cathy H ....BEAUTIFUL and artistic- but look more like paintings than photographs.

Apart from the required elements I was looking for good retouches without too much plastic surgery, without perfect symmetry (including hair and neck), and without too much of a Vegas, Egyptian or Interplanetary look.

1. Wojtek - Very nice retouch
2. Lorraine - nicely coloured and polished.
3. Noud - good use of colour to achieve frosty hair look.
4. Didiben - dramatic use of shadow and hilite.
5. Arnold - best icy stare, hair's a bit rough but could be simulated with a can of spray snow.

The result was supposed to be realistic and look like a photograph. Eliminating all those that weren't left very slim pickings.

Out of what was left:
1. Doug Colwell
2. Lorraine
3. splata
4. dennisu

Because I needed one more:
5. Lonk

Lot's of great works of art here! A lot of talent in that regard. Just not too many of them looked realistic, which was a requirement of the contest.

This was a great contest. Almost a third of the entries were from brand new RetouchPRO members. Let me extend my welcome to them and hope they'll all become regular contributing members of our family.

With so many creative, imaginative entries, voting was a real chore. I started by rating each entry on a scale from 1 to 10. I leaned in favor of those who went with my basic interpretation of the contest criteria: a realistic, embellished, Hollywood styled beauty retouch of a gorgeous young woman. I allowed leeway on "looks like a photograph", since we are talking the movie business here! I ended up with over a dozen 10s! It just goes to show how member skills are continually improving. Picking my favorite 5 of those was very difficult.

1. emilylt87 -- lovely soft complexion, cool hair and hypnotic eye makeup
2. Shalford -- very inventive vision; definitely "icy"
3. MatthewMarshall -- innovative sleepy eye manipulation, frosty coiffure and attire
4. dcolwell -- clean, subtle retouch and originative wintry embellishment
5. splata -- symmetry is a great idea: beauty = symmetrical. Delicate crystal lace apparel.

And props to a few more that I really liked for one reason or another: CathyH, grafx, lorraine, mikkimicole, nancyj, ratz, solitear and wojtek.

Just like everyone else this was hard to narrow down to just 5.
1, Lonk - Just beautiful
2, Splata- Good retouch and I liked the crystal hair
3, MattewMarshall - Nice overall look, I could see this one on a film poster
4, dcolwell - Very photographic and clean retouching
5, K_Gimini_M - Soft over all look

Also really liked these - NancyJ, Lorraine, Ratz. Everyone did a great job!

As everyone has said..... very hard..... but here goes...

1. LonK - Great job...using drop shadows really makes the jewelry real.... color was so good, too, because she still had faint life in her cheeks and the warm ring around her pupils..
2. Grafx - Really great lashes and eye makeup.
3. Matthew Marshall - Great frosty hair and loved the lips.
4. Doug Colwell - Overall great plus very 'real' looking.
5. Nanls - Really liked the hair thingy...

Also liked:
Palms - great delicate, frosty hair.
Emily - she looked so pretty... especially her eyes.
Cassidy - liked the look of yours... would have loved it if the jewelry had a drop shadow to make it sit on the skin...

Such a fun contest!

First of all, let me say that all of the entries are not only interesting, but very beautiful and everyone did a tremendous job! So many interpretations for one photograph. But my votes consist of one key word - photograph. Some look like drawings or paintings and even though makeup can be done to work wonders on a real person these days, I interpreted the rules for us to choose the entries that looked like a photograph. Photograph to me meaning life like or real. Some may interpret differently. My votes are as follows:

1. backwaters
2. doug
3. cupcake
4. davidramsey03

Well I found this really difficult as my expectations were quite different to how others obviously perceived it. I took this as more a marketing exercise on the basis that it was to drum up funds for an intended movie so presumed this was the main character and a marketing exercise. On that basis I expected either a very 'cold' princess, a very evil princess or a spectacularly beautiful princess.

So,

1. Lonk
2. Mikkimicole
3. Graphics23
4. Splata
5. On Focus

....... and then I am not sure

1. Graphx - not my idea of crystalized hair but thats something thats very subjective as we don't have a real frame of reference for it.
2. Lorraine - very natural
3. Doug Colwell - I guess we weren't told ALL the hair had to be crystalized ;) Really liked it - could have done more to intensify the eyes though
4. PhotoB - very nice
5. Lonk - my favorite of all the entries (liked it better before the tiara though ;)) but I just don't believe it as a photograph - otherwise this would have been #1

Special mention to Chillin - loved it, just didn't feel it met the criteria.
